everytime i try to login with my admin client i get an error in japanese which i believe says Unable to connect to server. im not sure i have my IP settings right in the hotuk.ini

I am trying to use this client on another computer on the same network.

heres the hotuk:

*MODE SERVER
*SERVER_CODE 0
*GAME_SERVER Local 5.63.150.177 5.63.150.177 5.63.150.177

//*CLAN_SERVER 127.0.0.1 80 127.0.0.1 80
//*AREA_SERVER 127.0.0.1

*SERVER_NAME dPT
*VERSION 3096
*SERVER_AUTOPLAY

*MAX_USERS 200

//*GAME_GUARD
*ENABLE_PARTYITEM

*SERVER_RECORD_MEM
//*CLIENT_CHECK_FUNC 1
//*BLOCK_LEVEL 1
//*DISCONNECT_ITEM_ERROR 1
*CHECK_POTION_COUNT 10000
*CLIENT_CHECK_PROCESS_TIME 30
//*CLIENT_PROCESS_TIME_OUT
*ENABLE_SERVER_EXP 100
*MONSTER_KEY 1

//*CONNECT_CLIENT_CODE -1128564151
//*CLSAFE_CODE -1128564151

*BACKUP_FOLDER_NAME "c:\databasebackup"
*BACKUP_PATH "c:\databasebackup"

*DEBUG_ID Adam

*DEBUG_IP 5.63.149.239 <--This is the hamachi ip of my client computer
*ADMIN_IP 5.63.149.239

*ADMIN_LOGIN "Adam" <-normal login

*ADMIN_NAME "Adam"
*ADMIN_COMMAND "Hello1"
*ADMIN_COMMAND "Hello2"
*ADMIN_COMMAND "Hello3"

I have also tried just entering the Local ip of my client computer, same error.

i can login just fine with the normal client.

I'm not really sure about how it all works either. so an explanation rather than just the solution would be appreciated too, if possible. thanks

Have you edited the IP in the ldata.bmp file? You can find it in C:\Program Files\TriglowPictures\PristonTale\image\ldata.bmp (or whatever directory you chose to install PT to) - open it with notepad and change the IPs there to your server. I don't think the admin client pulls the server IPs from the registry at all.

just disable the debug ID and debug IP, and it should be working.

Nope. i added that in, nothing. still the same error. its like the error you get when theres NO connection to the server at all. as soon as you hit "enter" at the login screen, that error immediately appears. doesn't even TRY to connect to the server. *is confused*

So what your saying is, is that when i go to use my admin client, i should change my ldata and reg to127.0.0.1? but the server is not on the same computer as my client. so..wouldn't my client try to connect to..itself? I'm connecting from a LAN computer.

computer 1 : client --------------->> Computer 2 : server

I can connect just fine when im not using the admin client. no problems.

k if your connecting from a LAN cpu to the server CPU
you connect to 192.168.xxx.xxx whatever the server cpu's IP is
so in hotuk u need something like this

*GAME_SERVER LAN 192.168.xxx.xxx

edit ldata and registry to 192.168.xxx.xxx also

and then sinceu want GM client on that LAN pc u have to add this line
into the hotuk.ini

*DEBUG_ID name1 name2 name3 name4

u get the drift if ur confused heres a bit of the admin things in my hotuk.ini

*GAME_SERVER WAN 5.63.65.228 5.63.65.228 5.63.65.228
*GAME_SERVER LOCAL 192.168.0.101 192.168.0.101 192.168.0.101
*GAME_SERVER ME 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.1

all must be on hamachi
my friends connect to WAN(ldata,reg --> hamachi ip)
my brother connects to LOCAL(ldata,reg --> as 192.168.xxx.xxx)
i connect to ME (server PC, ldata, reg --> 127.0.0.1)

*DEBUG_ID "imgod" <---accountloginnamewithout""""
*ADMIN_NAME "GM" <---whisper him the commands ingame 2 get lvl3 access
*ADMIN_COMMAND "Hello1"
*ADMIN_COMMAND "Hello2"
*ADMIN_COMMAND "Level3"

hope that helps
