Person, I set up a 3.9 server and made some modifications to its source. I changed the enchant system, removed the Break and enchant/manastone downgrade functions, limited the amount from 180 to only 5 enchants, and set a fixed chance for them. I also created a passive buff for Sieges in Reshanta.

This is just some context about what I managed to do in 3.9 through the source. But now I’d like to reproduce these modifications in the 4.6 PTS. Since there’s no source available, I used ChatGPT to help me try to find alternatives. According to ChatGPT, it would be possible to create scripts to run in the server’s database to execute functions that would basically “bypass” the source. An example it gave was creating an NPC where the player clicks a dialogue option and that triggers a script in the server database to execute the function I want.

I’m not a programmer, so I’m not really sure if this would actually be possible. I’d like to know what you think—whether this really makes sense and if it’s realistic to do something like this on the 4.6 PTS. Do you think this is actually possible to do?

For example, the enchant system:

I created 5 enchants (A, B, C, D, E), set a fixed percentage for each of them, and added some reductions to the base chance for PvP items—larger reductions for weapons and smaller ones for armor.

But all of that was done directly in the 3.9 source.

This is a model of the modifications I made to the enchant system in 3.9.

Personally, I think a fixed-percentage enchantment would be useful.

And speaking with the NPC raised a question:
If it's just a simple conversation, it's pointless. A simple conversation can be done without restrictions, but if they can give out quests, that changes everything dramatically.
