And do a few people who will insult. get off your high horse. i dont give a crap if they did take some source. dont take other peoples work and sell it off. and Aion or any repack for any game will never be 100% correctly working. NEVER.

First of all you are wrong.
All the open sources was closed because of to many leechers, who only downloaded the Emulator and updates, open their own private servers and earn money. Do you think that the developers are so idiots to enjoy that their works are leeched and sold?
Over 99% from the opened private servers, which earn money with donations, are using open source emulators and most of them only leech the work from others.

One of the some features, such a Open PvP Map, Steel Rake, mixed with PvE Bosses, was one week of development.
The other features such Battleground and Arena, takes more then one week of development each.

My question:

Is that fair, only to leech such features and works from a few active developer and make money with, without a single own contribution, but wine that they are now closed?

Aion Extreme are closed. They don't sold the Emulator, they sale only the updates. That's fair.

There are only two rules now.
1.You are able to contribute with something and join the project for free
2.You subscribe for updates.

I'm a developer there and I join the project for free, my contributions, my work will be not leeched anymore, and that makes me feel much better.

Just my two cents.....

Aion Extreme is a complete RIPOFF from the old Server cores that was released a while back when aion first came out. Aion Extreme is just a continued work core with updated opcodes thats all nothing new here.

and Aion Extreme dont Make people pay for updates? Hell if people are making money off the source and Aion Extreme is making money off the updates then its the complete same thing.

Open Source is Open source. i dont give a crap what kinda useless trash talk you try and say. Hell i bet i could program circles around this useless team you call Aion Extreme lol.

Bunch of script kiddies Fixing java edits Leeching off other peoples opcode functions to sell on. Kid come back when you really learn how to code.

This topic was posted to help spread opensource for people who want a server LAN or to make money. I don't give a crap what you want to say get the **** out of thread kid and don't reply back.

Well, that was really entertaining.. LOL! :
I guess you both are right here.. There have probably been a large number of people who have used this site to their own advantage and to satisfy their own greed. That's a pity, because they ruin a good idea and a good dev site this way. On the other hand, we all know some of the projects are more or less illegal, which means that we know beforehand that they can be shut down some day.
Nevertheless, as long as the projects are allowed to continue, lots of good people, many of them parents, do enjoy them, me among them, and I (and especially my kids and their friends! really hope this can continue for a long time. A big thank you, also from my kids, to all the devs who work on the projects!

I really hate what AE became, they are now selling stuffs based on an open source server. You complain about how people leech your job and you feel robbed and whatever. So tell me why is it that the best 2 L2J communities are still open? (L2JServer and L2JFree) both have great developers and they are not crying and shouting how they feel about how people copy/paste their code.

So i really welcome this new project, and i hope you became as good as the L2JFree team is!!! Welcome!!!!!
