Hi folks!

I have a question - How many times have you tried to imagine array in dimension?
array[x] is a line
array[x][y] is a square
array[x][y][z] is a cube

Now try to imagine yourself array with "six dimesnios" or more! To be honest i cant imagine anything after 3d :D

And where is the question here ? Also you are programmist you don't need to imagine those dimensions. In addition my math proffesor in high school imagine up to 5 dimensions but his proffesor in University could do it up to 7 ( actually he could even draw it without problems ), of course that's beyond my skills.

1. World
2. Galactic
3. Solar system
4. Planet
5. Country
6. State
7. City
8. Block
9. Street

List can go on... Array basically is like a little database.

Urm...you shouldn't imagine them?

Well, in fact it's very easy to imagine, just think in terms of data and how it will be saved, it's totally irrelevant to the world we live in. It is simply a way to order data and divide it. They are not dimensions :S

array[universals][galactic systems][solar systems][planets]; // wow I just created a 4th dimension!

What's the problem?

The array dimensions are different for different purposes. For example, what Intelext meant was that a world can be an array of galaxies, which are arrays of solar systems, which in turn are arrays of planets, arrays of countries, arrays of states, cities, blocks and lastly streets. That's one possible dimension usage, though maybe not the best, if the sub-elements of each of the top-elements aren't the same.

i decided not to write to much, but instead - draw something :D
the point of this thread is not to make some kind of uber array, but to force your brain to brake boundries of reality :D

You are so incredibly missing the point that you can't even see the point any more.

Now, this is an interesting maths problem, but it has little to do with coding, the arrays are just a way of imagining it.

you actually can divide by 0, but you need to know if 0 is positive or negative. am studying this for about 2 or 3 months now. i dont know how its called in english but i would name it "Edge", its when you search in what point line stops or smth like that, and there you can divide numbers from positive or negative 0, hell you can divide from "infinity" :D

man, this thing gave me emotional trauma

It's called limits, and yes, if you take a limit of (positive / x), where x gets very small (but positive), the result is a positive infinity. But this is only if you go x->0. Dividing by 0 is not possible.
