@bonzoman
With your Error 2006 : Mysql has gone away.. what version of MySQL ur using?? I'm using v5.1 with Vista Business 64Bit.. it seems to run quite well
Go to your Mysql installation: most likely C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\
and search for the file called "my.ini" it should be in there
and search for this: BENEATH THE SERVER SECTION (in the my.ini)
[mysqld]
max_allowed_packet = 100M
# The TCP/IP Port the MySQL Server will listen on
port=3306.
after you editted this file go to your services of windows and look for MySQL. Right click it and choose "Restart"
Now run install.bat again with making a new database (lets call it world(delete your old ones)), if you still get the error, you've probably done it wrong. So read it carefully
now go with SQLyog or Navicat into your MySQL databases and add a new database called: worldfinal
About the webinstaller with that error:
Go to the include map: and edit the following two files:
config.inc.php and
header.inc.php
Copy the next code: (this is your configuration if you follow my little tutorial)
config.inc.php
<?php
// Base Database
$dbhost = "localhost"; // Base Table host
$dbport = "3306"; // Base database port
$dbuname = "root"; // Base Table login
$dbupass = "YOURPASS"; // Base Table login password
$dbname = "world"; // Base table name (the base database we made with the install.bat)
// Destination Database
$dbhost_destination="localhost"; // Destination Table host
$dbport_destination="3306"; // Destination database port
$dbuname_destination="root"; // Destination Table login
$dbupass_destination="YOURPASS"; // Destination Table login password
$dbname_destination="worldfinal"; // Destination Table name (This database you need to make manually with Navicat or SQLYog)
// Dump transformation querys into file for debugging purpuses
$GENERATE_SQL_FILE = 1; // 1 To enable, 0 to disable.
$GENERATE_SQL_FILE_NAME = "../Destination.sql"; // Output file name.
?>
header.inc.php
<?php
session_start();
ini_set ( "memory_limit", "100M");
// load our connection settings
include($dir_depth."include/config.inc.php");
include($dir_depth."include/mysql.inc.php");
set_time_limit ( 60*10 ); //5 minutes general timeout per page
//convert POST/REQUEST vars to normal vars for easier acces
foreach($_REQUEST as $key => $value)
{
$$key=mysql_escape_string($value);
}
?>
This should help you out on the install.bat and the webinstaller, the rest of bong25's tutorial should work good.
Try it out, and let me know if it worked.
Cheers,
Nortie
