AVG Tuneup and programs a like

Is there any reason to bother with these programs? Would AVG Tuneup really offer my PC benefits over the conventional manual PC maintenance. I've always been curious if they actually did do work.

Nope. Only one worth using is tuneup utilities, and even that makes a lot of unnecessary changes or tweaks settings to make your PC seem faster, but not actually be faster. Stuff such as decreasing the time it takes for a menu to open when hovering and animation speeds.

I wouldn't recommend anything other than CCleaner. Any other tweaks should be looked up on google and done manually.
