and it didn't corrupt it or anything, but i still get no servers to come up....

Yay, I finally fix my problem. I can now see my server and connect =]
Apparently I had to use Hamachi to solve my problem.....

if you get it working on hamachi and not on ya real ip its becuase you havent opend the ports listed on the tut....


thats why you/others cant see your server ports are not open

seeing the server or not has nothink to do with the launcher

can u explain me how to open ports inside him?
(dont give me link to tutorital on port forward because i already know it...)
i mean, what to write in the name of the virtual server... and all of it... beacause it doesnt work with GunZ1 like in the port forward tutorital... if i need to write my static ip or my wan ip...

For the guys who don't understand patch.xml part just change the name of theduel to Gunz. Not gunz.exe or theduel.exe or something if u then updated with patchbuilder change it back to theduel

well i had that problem...
but u can either get hamachi or make sure u open the ports given to u in the TuT.....
and if u still have problems, you probably messed up following the TuT...

Okay, another quick question that's really confusing me with portforwarding...
I checked my wan ip on a site and got the ip, but i entered the ipconfig -all in command prompt and it said my ip was something diff. but to access my router i used a diff ip than both of those. whats up with that?

dude i have alife,out side of computers...not a very big one...but i do just wait next time i WILL reply

@dindush0 7000 to 7777 with tcp, but if your router lets it do both udp and tcp.

windows key + r
then type cmd and press enter
then type: ipconfig /all

that will give you your pcs LAN ip and the routers LAN ip and mabe your WAN ip(only some times i dont know why, dont ask)

try this link to learn how to portforward, you will need to know your router/modem make/model

and what ip i need to put at the ip?
and why u say 7000 to 7777? u mean something between them?
the port 7000, i need to select to open port tcp, to open port udp, or to open port Both? (i have option of both)
and what about 7777? tcp/udp/both?

portforward if to your PCs LAN IP

if you read the portforward tuts you will see port RANGE!

from 7000 TO 7777 tcp or both(tcp and udp), i know not at all hard

6000 tcp
5100 udp
7000 both
7777 both
8900 tcp
80 tcp
is that ok? and every port that i need to open is public port+ private port? or everyone is different?
my english not that well. its hard to me to understand. i havent understand yet what u mean 7000 to 7777. just tell me what to do like this:
6000-tcp. 7000-both. 7777-both/whatever it is...
i know its hard for you, but its much more hard to me to understand... please explain me like i want!
