Hello, does anyone know any internet browsers that are optimized for multi-core processors?

Windows 7 atm, both firefox and IE(8) don't seem to be multi core... on really heavy load (big pages etc), they are always stopped at 25% CPU on one of the 4 cores i have

chrome is multithreaded. chromium has more win 7 features

Chrome isn't optimized for multiple cores, but the multi thread does help alot thanks mate

I don't use chrome because it sends information on what you're browsing to google to optimize google ads to your interests, I think its an offence to privacy even there is no one who looks the information up other than machines

They warn you on the agreement before the installation but nobody reads that before pressing "I Agree"

Other than that I heard people complain about its instability, and I have no complaints at all about Firefox

Well. Firefox 3.5 is the best browser in my opinion however it messes up on my computer so I switched to google chrome. Chrome seems to offer less security but it opens and closes faster then firefox also seems to take up less memory.

Firefox uses +/- 80mb on my pc, which isn't much considering that I got 2 GB Ram
about the closing I have no problems either but OPEN, sometimes is crap

especially when the pc is still loading from booting up firefox can take long to appear or when the default website is loading slow then firefox will open just as slow
what I also experience is that when the website does not exist firefox gets stuck for 3-4 seconds and does not respond to windows, though I think that is the effect of spyware

Still its above average on the compatibilty towards most website types and programs (streaming or flash works excellent on firefox, while it often fails on IE)

If you like Chrome for whatever reason and care about privacy then download SRWare IRON which is a clone of Google Chrome but without privacy concerns.

For your information, SRWare recently added a feature to block ads that you specify.

Firefox is better then Chrome IMO. Interface and functionality.

It uses up to 100mb of my RAM, but it's not a problem for me.

Been using chrome for a few days now, and i can safely say that (in my opinion) chrome is better than firefox

I'm not hater of firefox, I've been using it since the start of my internet days, but chrome is allot faster, or at least on this computer

i mainly use firefox for its user friendliness and add-ons(!). people like chrome for its speed, for me, i don't mind going slightly slower. its up to one to choose...

I dont think there is any that currently use multi core, Firefox are hoping to have support for it sometime next year but thats only a rumour.

i've been using chrome since mid summer, and i think i like it better than firefox 3.5 or ie8. i've only had 2 problems with it so far.

1) AJAX issues with facebook.com. whenever something is updated it gets hidden.

2) if i leave chrome open for like 3 days or more, it doesn't load things as fast and needs a restart.

honestly though i deal with #1 and just use ie8 for facebook. i'd rather use firefox but it had a problem where i posted a response on someones wall and i had to clear the cache to view it again... weird. as for #2 i don't really care if i have to restart my web browser after a few days, it's not a big deal.

i also like how chrome has a very minimalistic interface that takes up almost no space at the top and no space at the bottom of the window. it's perfect for my tiny acer aspire one that only has an 8.9" screen.

Opera's been out since before you were born. I think it's stable by now.

@TOPIC: I really don't think there is a browser built specifically for multicores. I've been running the latest stable build of FireFox on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and it seems to be on par. Now and then it will eat up some memory, but a quick restart fixes it.
