Josh, you have to understand that even a computer has its own limitations.
Eg: Windows itself is an operating system, which means even it itself has its own limits, a computer will do anything you tell it to, given its within its capabilities, which are all pre-determined based on hardware and software.
The determination is great, but the ideology behind it is wrong, this isn't a physical front where your capabilities increase by effort, this is a technological front where no matter the effort put in, the limit cannot be shifted, you can spend 2-3 years reverse engineering the old exe's but you'd fall short of what's needed to actually achieve whatever it is you set out to achieve (flame walkers or summon etc) or even mimic their source to a high-enough degree for it to even be worth-wild, an emulator is the much easier approach (in a sense) as you can build your own back-end based off the front end (client etc) and also update it based on the regular additions to the game itself.
If Munoz say's it isn't possible, you can assume it isn't possible, he'd have at least dug into it by now if it were, Terra were using 2008 files since 2010 (could be wrong on the 2010 part, cant remember when Terra launched).
ya 2010 but been messing with those files since like 2008? or 2009? dont remember
