Change default location for Game Saves?

Is there a way to change the default location games tend to put save files in. It's quite annoying seeing these folders in the "My Documents" folder, I'd much rather have those files saved in the original install folder.

In Windows, symbolic links are implemented in the mklink command, and mostly resemble regular file shortcuts. There isn't likely a perfect solution, but you can reduce clutter somewhat by hiding the link files and letting Windows transparently redirect specific locations to a preferred path.
