Counting Cards

I watched the movie "21" (Which is amazing, btw.) andSpoiler: its about a really smart kid who needs to pay to get into med school (i think) but he cant afford it. One of his teachers runs a group where they count cards in vegas on the weekends and during the week hes the teacher and they are back to the students in the college. The teacher finds out that the kid is amazing at math and invites him to the group:Spoiler and they go to vegas and take the casinos for hundreds of thousands. One part in the movie he gets caught int he casino counting the cards and gets took away and was beaten by the casinos security...

After the movie i said to my dad "Is it legal to count cards?" he said it was legal although the casinos dont take to kindly to it. I asked what they do, and he said that they took you to the basement and battered you. He says that they dont get into any trouble with the police because the casinos are basicly getting them there pay (wages) for doing there job and gets lots of money for the goverment.

It seems pretty easy to count cards if theres alot of people helping you, anyway, discuss.

Easy to count cards? Hell no.

You basically have to count the number of cards which have been dealt, then remember every card which has been shown so you know what has already been used, then work out in your head the probability of whether you could win (according to the cards they have which you have worked out) so you know if you should bet or not.

Extremely hard and for geniuses only. And yes it is legal, but casino's see it as cheating although it isn't - its an imbalanced strategy.

I've watched 21 and it wasn't that amazing. It lacks action and they talk to much. The movie could have been amazing tbh. And remove the spoiler..

if u dont want to watch this movie just watch the real husstle on bbc3 or bbc2 its on one of them lol
