Hello everyone, I need some help on something that for some people it might sound very easy, but it's kind difficult to me so far hehe, prolly cuz I suck at programming so...

First I wanna thank the user chrissdegrece for all the help and support he's being giving me, THANKS MAN! :thumbup1:

Anyway, based on his thread :

http://forum.ragezone.com/f98/how-t...hout-having-to-log-off-or-switch-user-643599/

...a new way to bypass the updater was found, only by adding this 3216473353 on a shortcut you are able to login easily on a3client.exe without any launcher!

Thing is, as I use a FPS limiter software that creates its own batch file based on the executable you want to run, it doesn't allow me to target LNK files, only EXE files, and guess what, the 3216473353 command line freezes the program saying its an unknown command.

My question is, is there a simple way to insert this "3216473353" shortcut command into the client and recompile it into a new a3client.exe?

I got no programming skills at all, and any help of you experts would be really nice now!

Hope you guys got what I am requesting, if its too confusing, please let me know and I will explain better!

Thanks in advance!!

a) Well if that FPS thing creates a batch file then u can easily edit it and add the parameter there. (Post a bat file here so that we can see it)

b) EXEs cannot be RE-compiled. If u got no programming skills it will be extremely hard to "debug" a3client.exe and hardcode the parameter inside the exe. If u want to try u will have to download IDA or OllyDbg and try to do it.

c) Download Autohotkey, Autoit or anything similar and just create an exe which calls a3client.exe with the parameter.

Yo chris , good to see ya, oh boy, this is complex! hehe

Allright, lets go:

A) Well if that FPS thing creates a batch file then u can easily edit it and add the parameter there. (Post a bat file here so that we can see it)

The FPS program creates a bat from whatever exe you want, and yes, batch files can be easily edited, but the problem is that FPS Limiter doesnt recognize 3216473353 as a known parameter, so it hangs and ends process!

The program can be found on my attachment files, there is a readme file on it that explains how simple the program is, its a shame that the only commands available are the ones that comes with the program itself.

If A3client.exe could be executed simply by double-clicking without the need of any shortcut command lines or launchers, the FPS limiter would work like a charm. The launchers would help nothing aswell, since it would be a Launcher.exe , not a3client.exe obviously

B) EXEs cannot be RE-compiled. If u got no programming skills it will be extremely hard to "debug" a3client.exe and hardcode the parameter inside the exe. If u want to try u will have to download IDA or OllyDbg and try to do it.

I'll pass this hehe, this would take me hours and I am sure nothing would be achieved by myself! lol

C) Download Autohotkey, Autoit or anything similar and just create an exe which calls a3client.exe with the parameter.

I did, but those softwares create scripts that calls EXE files, it works just like a windows shortcut, the only difference is that they can be converted to .exe , thus making them FPS limiter workable.

The problem is, I tried to put the command line after the exe but guess what, the programs do not recognize the command aswell, it gives me errors when I execute them, I dunno, maybe Im doing something wrong or maybe the scripts have its own language that differs from default windows Shortcut/CMD commands. But I wont ask anyone to create a exe file for me, it's too much to ask.

Thing is, I wonder if even if I DO manage to create a full working a3client.exe, will FPS limiter work correctly on this "shortcut exe" since its not a3client.exe itself?

The workable solution would actually combine the LNK to the EXE itself and be able to extract the parameters to create a new EXE, sorta like recompiling it but not "actually" recompiling it. There should be a software out there, wont you agree? It must be! :glare:

The closest I was able to get after all this, was to find this program called FreeCap that creates EXE files using its own DLL hooks to execute the parameters, and when executed from inside the program window the EXE works well, but when I drag it outside the program window to the desktop to see if runs OK too, it removes the parameters as if I havent inserted the 3216473353 at all! Back to the beginning....

Ive uploaded the FreeCap program right here :

Ok I have to admit that this is too much trouble and all, but if anyone is up for a challenge, you are welcome to join me on this  funny thing is, its a simple tiny thing but yet so complex to create, this drives me crazy lol, but oh well

Thank you chriss once more!

cvrdheeraj, thank you very much for uploading, really.

thing is, I really cant access the website for some reason, it gives me unknown page and sometimes I do get to Filefront and click "download now" but it doesnt redirect me to the file, it keeps going back!

Can you please upload somewhere else like Rapidshare or hotfile?

thanks!!!

Ahhh awesome!
