Hello people of rage-zone! I want some opinions! What do you guys like to see in game? I'm tired of all the sad excuses of events and mini quests you see in every other v83. Although many people are tired of v83 in general... my goal is to bring to life a v83 that is a totally different experience.

So please go crazy in the comments. But try not to get too unrealistic.

Thanks!

Edit:

Ideas that are being worked on are

Auction:
There will be an npc that will work sort of like the MTS, it you will be able to give it an item and it will keep it until someone comes and offers to buy that item for the price you demanded. The meso's (in currency) will be given to you if it was sold.

Outcast:
Occupation-Outcast :
This occupations puts you on quest, a path to become somebody. You’ve ran away from your home, you have no money, no safe place to stay, no food, etc... So what now? You’ve decided that you’re going to live on the edge and not give a damn what anyone else thinks about it. You’re going to struggle but you say that somehow you will make it.

Traits:
Low meso, and drop rate.
All pots have a cool down
Travelling costs money now. @go will cost 500k
When you die you lose all your equips, pots, and mesos.
If someone else comes and kills the monster that killed you, they recieve your item. (Experimental)
You have advantage over everyone though; you have connections.
As you roam doing these odd jobs you will meet new people who can help you along the way.
@desperate is your last resort if your stuck and need pots/money you’ll sell everything in your inv for mil (500 of an items.)

Quests to go with them.

Thoughts?

Awhile back I wanted to create a @auction.
---
@auction - Opens NPC that selects the item and then smegas it.
A 10 minute timer goes off.
@bid - Bids an amount on the item
Automatically smegas the highest bid
After 10 minutes are up the item is sold to the highest bidder.
---

Ehh, it was something like that.

I would really like to start seeing hardcore mode for MapleStory. Perma-death characters, and possibly a cooldown time on potion use. It'd make playing pretty intense. Bosses would probably be impossible with potion cooldowns though.

There's only a couple things bishops are good for. That's HS, and heal.
But yes, I would love to see this type of server. If it's done right, that stuff would be awesome.

when you die, give all of the player's items to the mob that ended his life and make them drop when the next person arrive and kill it.

Hmm this is a very interesting idea. Its like a campaign/minecraft sort of thing lol at least in my head.

I'll look more into it.

EDIT: Check out the original post for updates.

An interactive party system would be cool, like a party of 40 people can kill a huge mob of monsters.
Just do things big, people like that ;)

Or we need LEGIT MS guns.

make sure you save all of the items in the databse that a mob has gathered after killing a player and respawn that same mob with all of the items in case of server restart.

Of course lol. Thanks!

All of these idea's are crazy good. :]

More pl0x :thumbup1:

Well, I've experimented with ideas involving factions (you could just use guilds as the base for it, making guilds more useful in v83) that can take over maps and craft equipment (with maps generating income needed to create these equips). It could actually work quite well if you restricted it so there could only be 2 factions per major continent, and it was only on one channel. As player base increases, you'll need to increase the number of channels, and by doing so you'll open up more room for new factions. I basically wanted it so these factions could specialize in a certain equipment type and level up their crafting ability in that one type so they could make the equipment with added stats. These equips would be labeled with a nametag after the family which would create brand names. :/

I thought it'd be pretty cool. They would be a faction that would be best at making certain equips and all the rich people of that class would go to them.

Lol for some reason I'm thinking of LoL and hunger games... This is an interesting idea nonetheless. Thanks. I'll contact you more with questions! :P

More great ideas! :]

This seems like an obvious extension of the Guild Unions (Alliance) system. There's a lot that can be done with this.

Its actually very fun. We've added dmg multipliers/dmg boosts etc to our pvp.
Do you get damage popups in your PvP? Like when you actually fight things?

Still working on that. But when we do it will be very nice.

Something to add-on to oxysoft suggestion. Instead of making the mob hold the item, why not just drop it all lol
