Hello,
I've been working on a client based of Legacy wich I might release, I'll let you guy's decide that, here is what it has,
Code:
* Unmasked staff names.
*Encryption in all files (Not Lambda custom encrypter)
*Tottally re-coded and re designed interface (It will have like all the buttons on one side, gamelist list in the center, chatting in like the top corner or wherever, your char's equipement in another corner.
*It's own database/server files.
*Not a level system, a class system, class 1 for first class armour and weapons, class 2 for second class armour and weapons, etc.
*Class 1 channels, class 2 channels, etc..
*New commands for admin's like /mute (Me and wizkid made yesterday)
*A greeter.
*Less XML bug's in it.
*Smaller in size, (estimated 200MB max.) less useless files in the client to lagg evreything up.
*No more .mrs files =)

That's about all for the moment.Any ideas (Not guaranteed i'll know how to di it)
And yes, allot of this is XML, so what ? You can do allot with XML thease day's.

add an anti hack and its be wonderful... anyways gl... also i got a couple of ideas for your class system; when u create a character the types like gun priest gun knight and that stuff should actually matter like make different sets of weapons for each... also when u reach checkpoints (lvl 10/class 3) make it allow u to switch class...

Outlined my opinion on each point with bold.

If you release a "blank" xiaos client with the unmasked names, I'm sure everyone would love you almost instantly.

Also, the whole "cyan for GM's, orange for admins" could go with that too, but your choice.

Hell yeah, release this at least, or just a tutorial.

Yes, if it does include clanserver and matchserver at the same time
