[Dev] Project Glaphan - v6 Emulator

I LOOOOOOOOVED v6 and always wished i could go back to it!

but i wanna know..(might be a stupid question for u..) what's exactly the difference between an emulator and a pserv? cause i see people with v6 files already

Yeah, emulators are the programs written from scratch to work with the existing game client.
Now that college is practically over I can sit down over the holidays and learn more about socket handling. Yum!

To be honest, I haven't played in Seige or Guildwars much. Now, I played GuildWars the Game :) and I have been in a few guilds, but I only competed in a few matches. Too lagged to take notes. I think I will leave that for last and pump out the system and source so people can put it in themselves. There are far many better people out there who know them inside and out.

Oh, and I should mention that I am building the system off the OSA code but it will resemble DFlyFF in a way. Its coming along nicely I might add. I just finished up the Player Inventory classes and Item classes today.

Since the majority of people prefer C#.net I think its best to release a source people can work on.

I have a buddy of mine working on the first Ruby version of FlyFF, which I am curious about. Those of you who have coded and used RPG Maker XP will understand my enthusiasm about it.

Aaaaaanyway, stay tuned people.

And stay off the drug that is official v13 files. A man can go crazy programming it.

Night all.

if you want one of our member give me packet and video corresponding to the action while he was in a guild war...

siege packet :

1v1 packet :

1v1 video : (to see what have been done on 1v1 packets

You will also find other action such as exit pet / enter pet and activate Upcut Stone / Grilled Eel / Remantis Laccotte and cart FUN

hope that could help you...

A video is in the works but I want to make the server a little more stable. Right now I'm looking through OSA's stuff to see somethings. I may shift to using it and port my code over to it. I'm not sure yet.

Progress is coming along. I try to do a little everyday. I have some other projects not related to FlyFF, if you check my blog, that I am working on.

@Garvorious - 3d models like characters and furniture stuff.

I also want to make an announcement. After reviewing the way the officials handle the db and the security involved therein, I have decided that I will be moving into stored procedures for the project. Yes, there will be a shitload of the procedures but in the long run it will be more secure, faster and easier to manage should something need finding, changed or added. I will keep people updated and I might release the database part with the procedures to give an idea of where I am going with this.

Til then.

For people who are not familiar or would like to know the differences therein I will post a link to a comparison between the two. While this guy is a little biased, keep in mind that what he says is true when thinking in server aspect: . I found it very enlightening.

Nice call gk. It should make the project worthwhile when it's all said and done.

Guess those files getting leaked came to something good after all. At least you were able to learn something from them, and good luck with it now. xD
