So, have you guys seen this movie? It's produced by Peter Jackson and directed by Neill Blomkamp (Ex director of the to be halo film). I saw it today and, god god god god god god god damn!!! I bet Universal, Fox, and Microsoft are banging their heads against the wall. I'll say it out loud, best movie of the summer, fuck transformer 2, GI Joe and everything else this year. Oh yeah, contratz to Blomkamp! couldn't done any better for your debut as a big movie director!

It's not out until the 4th of September here in the UK :-/. Best movie of the summer for me has been, 'The taking of Pelham 123'. Imo Transformers 2 was a let down for what it was hyped up to be and paled in comparison to the first version, also the comedy they tried to add was kind of lame, some bit were funny but others sucked (watches out for fanboys). I'll give it a watch when it comes out if you rate it that highly tbh.

It is a dam great movie! It has action (and a lot of that) a great story, sci-fi elements that are flawless, emotions, and everything a successful movie can have.

I dunno about comparing it to the other movies, its not in the same style imo. But script wise, i'd say it beats Transformers 2 and G.I. hands downs. Those movies are the same as other in a way; bad guys come, good guys wake up, they fight, good guys win. Script wise... booorring... District 9 takes it all the way.

directly after release, people are quoting it the best movie of the year, It's funny, some critics are already talking about Academy award.

And the Air bender? I honestly lost hope in Shyamalan after signs, It's gonna take A LOT of work to make up for his shitty movies he released recently.

District 9 best scifi movie I've seen since Minority report!!

This movie got me all stoked! to only think the director is 29! This film, along with the hurt locker are the best of the year so far!
