Does runescape DMCA?

Does runescape ever dmca?
Do they ever shut down servers?
Have they ever sued a server for not complying? ETC I just want a few answers.

1. What is DMCA?
2. Yes, they shut down servers but not a lot.
3. They sued a server about 6 - 7 months ago and again about 2 years ago.

1) DMCA's come in all the time for runescapes. We get at least a couple a week from Jagex.
2) Every host in the USA will shut you down for this very quickly.
3) There was some lawsuits, but I thought they were related to botting, not a private server.

In short they can and can't shut you down. Like Fransisco said, US hosts can shut you down, however there are ways around it. Hosting a server is not illegal in any way, as long as you don't use a Stream or Cryption out of a client. Most DCMAs come from the fact that you are hosting a modified client. Their client. Offshore it to mega upload or rapidshare and you should be fine
