Editting Models

Hello everyone,

I do have a question regarding to my latest development.

I've made a YoYo (myself so no stealing). But there are 2 problems with it.



It does show ingame (as seen on the picture) but it does not support either elementing or general upgrading. How do i change the .o3d to make that possible?

Also, does anyone know a good program to make those .dds files as gala makes them, that it gets a collection of parts of a weapon?

You don't have to do anything special to the .o3d if you have the v17 glow system in your source. Otherwise, you need a "Glow Line", and I don't know how to make that.

you make the image for the dds in the program you model in lol and for adding the glow without the v17 glow edit you have to copy the glow mesh from an existing item and put it around your model then convert to o3d

dds can be made by photoshop, use your UV Map template to make a texture that aligns with your model.

It's the v17 Glow System actually (and there's a Release or Tutorial thread somewhere on ragezone for it) and no, you don't have to do anything special for it to work on new weapons.

Allright, i've been trying to change the v17 elementig to keep the old effects, but still keep the better compatibility, sofar no luck (indeed, i dun like the new elements).
Also, I would be interested in some .res modifications. Pls add me on gazpachox skype.

if you havent done the glow yet, i can make you that your yoyo glow,, just send me the .obj of it.

We know, we also know there seem to be easier ways than what he did, and since she/he (IHXFRYZZ) is pretty good with modelling (as seen in the past) I would love to see the way she/he does it.
