Fixing 2 billion Exp Error

Hi All,

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years . Happy New Years to everyone here at rage.

As my topic says, I was wondering on how to fix this 2 billion EXP DC error. I know many of the releases made on rage say that their server has the fix (such as JayMoko and Harsaphes server releases). I have been searching for it, but I have had no luck. So if someone can post where to find, I would greatly appreciate it . Thank you in advance for your help.

BP in the DC4 routine. Check the offset that is calling it and NOP it.

I've never seen DC4 occur. I've only seen clients and servers which claim to have DC4 fixed. :s

I get "Disconnected from server" messages, (usually when I suspend one or the other executable, or if I disconnect the TCP/IP connection) but never "DC4".

I've managed to get disconnected from the server by getting too much Exp too, but it certainly wasn't 2 billion Exp. I set Hoppies to give 16777214 Exp (the most you can store in 32 bits without negative or overflow) and 1 hit point with 0 def and 0 abs, I can kill several hundred before I am disconnected... there is no message to explain why I am disconnected.

If I kill only 200 and go back to town, all is good. That's 3,355,442,800 Exp in a matter of minuets. (That's only 3.3 million though. 1 Billion is a million, million or 1,000,000,000,000...

I understand U.S. English counts differently. (and British standards are often changing to fit American rules) But this is how I was taught to count in school.

the most Exp you can *EVER* have is 4,294,967,294 or 4.3 thousand million. DC4 should be the least of your worries if you get 2 billion Exp. XD)

Is the disconnect caused in SQL.dll?

Sorry I have been away a bit, so did not get a chance to check the updates here ^^. However, I am a bit confused by the responses.

Whenever there is a release of a server made, everyone claims that "2 bill error fixed." That is a trend that I have seen with every single server.exe released post Shagpubs original Kpt Et2 release. So what 2 billion error is that exactly dealing with?
