If u experience when you open the server it will automatically close

1st. right click the loginserver.exe and properties after go to compatibility tab then run it in windows 95 mode do this also in gameserver.exe

the reason you are getting the errors is because your mysql odbc driver is not configured properly, wammp/xammp is not turned on.

haven't tested the server on vista, and I do not recommend it anyway because xp has better compatibility, but if you can get it working, then more power to you.

It works great for me, vista home premium, using xampp apache and mysql.
Never needed to change any configuration to make it work.
