i use wamp , there you have a apache server and mysql adn php amdin ,
you only need to set your webpage in the folder c:/wamp/www/
and your done , that way is faster

the only thing i have now is that some webpage works great and some of them not lol , here take a look of webpage that i'm using untill i"v got the other one fixt , someone is helping me out now :o) , i'v put i fix in so you can set a forum link , so people can go to forum posting , what ever they like to post

this is a great guide, i follow every instruction, but this happen, whne i set up the Mangos Database Handler. I follow every instruction, what i did wrong, pls help

IldiMoney .. if you are running one of the Mangos packages there is a html file in the file structure called commands.html that has all of the commands in it. There is alot of commands in mangos. Do a search on your computer for it. Else post here and I will see if I can link the command.html to you. or show you a place to get it from..

i have a problem when i can't create a char and i get this message:
2006-12-30 18:59:57 ERROR:query ERROR: Unknown column 'v' in 'field list'
what to do?
 
I followed through the tutorial, and everything seemed to go as it should. I am able to start realmd.exc but when I try to start mangosd.exe, the dos window flashes open for a second then closes. The server.txt file says

2006-12-30 11:35:58 Realm running as realm ID 1
2006-12-30 11:35:58 Using DataDir @MANGOSD_DATA@/ ...
2006-12-30 11:35:58 ERROR:Correct *.map files not found by path '@MANGOSD_DATA@/maps'. Please place *.map files in directory by this path or correct DataDir value in mangosd.conf file.

Has anyone ran into this and got past it? If so, what needs to be done to correct this? Any assistance would be greatly appriciated.

dude you forgot the fix the path , for the maps lol

change that in your mangos config like this
let us say you have your mangos folder at c:/mangos

and your folder map in folder of mangos

then you need to do the next take a good look how the datadir is set up


# directory setting
# Important: Datadir needs to be quoted , as it is a string wich may
# contain space characters .
DataDir = "c:/mangos" <---- like this is OK :o)
 
I have a little problem, both mangos.exe and realmd.exe seems to works properly, but when i lunch the game and try to log it says disconected from server, which could be the problem?

Thx much. That was the missing piece of the puzzle. Everything up and running great now.
 
in my DBH is not working right when i press start to the mangosd and realmd
the screens are starting to jump really fast from one to another and the mangosd starting to change stop/start -> ofline/online
and i can`t go inside the game and try if it work
it starts to show me many screens mangosd and realmd

Ok, i did everything what you have wroten in the guide, its running good, but when iam going connect (with a other pc on the network) i login but then he says, logging in to the gameserver "but he's stucks" then... if i waiting some 30 sec i get the realmlist on the front of me... so what do i have to do? i have read alot on this forum!

DNS Might I am not sure.

I had the same problem. In Mysql I made changes to the realm list IP and changed it to my external one also I made changes in both of the config files and had them localhost instead of the loopback which a combo of those changes fixed it for me.
