k...thats how they're set...server1 folder contains server files and servu is the client...and still doesnt connect....anyway, do I have to turn on the server.exe before I turn on the bloodpt.exe?

is it possible that when you chat, all of the players can read your message..even if they are in a different map...i've seen violet-colored text in some SS..like the one that pops out when BC is starting...

The hotuk you shown up wont work. This one above is from the RFT. If this one doesnt work well you better check RFT out urself and try out the three different hotuks which one who works best.

About the serverfiles hotuk (the bottom part):

Remember to NOT mix the serverfiles and game client files together. Many people do like that and thats a reason why they got conn. failed or other kind of issues why they cant connect to their server.
But anyway, it seems like you know about this part aswell.
Anyway, hope this helps you a bit,

Ok, get into the Control Panel>Administrative Tools>ODBC>SQL Server> and check if Windows-NT verify is filled instead of the 2nd one.
If that's the fact, that's also the problem. Change it and re-try to connect.
And use this ldata file instead of yours look hella weird:
