This guide will teach you how to change some models!

1. Download

2. Open MyWarCraftStudio.

3. Click on the "File (F)" button at the top left then go to "Open MPQ Archive".

4. Go to C\World of Warcaft\Data and open common(.mpq).

5. Now go to Creature and look for your model that you want to change. I take DruidBear.

6. Open Notepad (or like that) and type in it "DruidBear.m2" (or your model name).

7. Now we have the .m2 (Model), but we need the .blp (Texture) too! So look for the blp of your model (that you want to change). Then type in the Notepad the name (I type DruidBearSkin.blp)

8. Now look for your model that you want. I take DemonHunter.

9. Now make in your WoW\Data a new folder called "Creature" and in Creature a folder called "DruidBear" (or the name of your model !!)

10. Go back to your MyWarCraftStudio and go back to your model (m2) and the texture (blp)that you want.

11. Click with the mouse RIGHT on the file. And a window will come. Go to "Extract File to..". Click on it and extract it into World of Warcraft\Data\Creature\DruidBear (or your model name)

12. Go to the "DruidBear" folder.

13. Now take your notepad with the blp and m2 names.

14. Rename "DemonHunter.m2" to "DruidBear.m2" (or your model!!). And the blp too! ( rename the "DemonHunterSkin.blp" to "DruidBearSkin.blp"! )

15. Go back to MWCS and click on "Pack (P)"

16. Go down to "Create MPQ archive"

17. A window will pop up and write in the window "patch-3" and click on "Save".

18. Now go to "Pack (P)" and go down to "Add file to archive..."

19. Now click on "..." and look for your "DruidBear" folder. And open "DruidBear.m2"

20. Now type in behind the DruidBear.m2 "Creature\DruidBear" and hit "OK"

Great post.

Why would you get f***** for editing your models? You could say it was for educational purposes.
Blizzard make me laugh with all there rules and regulations.

Just you. And if you do not edit them right you can get errors and stuck at places.

Yeh... so er.. who here's gonna be playing the servers of European and if you keep the model changing to yourself.. who's going to notice? Everyone here is up to making there own server and making things the way they want it.

thnx for guide now in the forum will people make wow skins XD i jsut cant wayt XD
Srry for my Bad English

I get lost at 14, how do we rename demonhunter.m2 if we never put demonhunter.m2 in there? All you said to put there was DruidBear.m2 and DruidBearSkin.blp no Demonhunter.m2

This is basic model editing and the easiest there is tbh.what i do is changing colors of armor etc,..That's far more detailed,For example I made a black T5 for warriors. This are just basics

Ok now i can export models and blp files, i can export them from model veiwer to make milkshape3d files , is their any way for these 3 things

edit .m2 models or make milkshake3d ones to .2
Upload those models into the mpq with a display id
Upload those models into the mpq with a display id that is new

if you can do any of these (2 would be best) then i will make a how to make custom weapons and armor (including models) guide, and upload a dbc editor for you guys.:cool3:
