Why dont use English Xiah Client?
- Why? Server is old and Xiah English is too newer and eng client is modded to suport web login (Server is only for normal login on client), the only xiah official using normal login is the korean one.

Guys to translate the strings no XiahClient.exe you need a good hexaeditor with Chinese language support or use IDAPro to search strings offsets and edit on hexaeditor.

one chinese character = two ascii chars that means in china C = CC so you can make it be Leve or Levl or Lvl like i did..
and if you skip one . it fuckup client

pah stole my insta fail on english client like i said in page 3 or something... You cant just do that, you wont be able to change the ip since its hard-coded into the server. You would have to hack gamescampus get into their database rip the data and make your own server... which would take you a few years... And with the data difference between China 2006 and US 2008 You might as well just give up

I have try to make my own server, but when i launch the service, i have the error with the service, i have update in my ODBC, but already the same problem.

Have you an other solution ?

I agree with that, we must continue development on the files WE HAVE.
Working on an english is a pure waste of time on my pov.

@ Zarut : please can u explain a little how to do multiples queries in one attempt ?
I wanna use the translated texts u gave earlier.




I think - when all my server will be FINE - I'll make a NEW and FULL tutorial with NO MISSING PARTS and NO ERRORS at all.
And I will include ALL NEEDED files and the changes I made.
Maybe I'll do this in a new thread if admin/moderator are ok. (of course, not for the next week, I have a lot of work to do again)

how to multiplay queries is simple.
just open the manager. go to tools>sql Analiser or something>then go to the text documents and press ctrl+a>ctrl+c>go to sql analiser again>ctrl+v> press the green play button> done

and about the tutorial. we can make about 50000000 tutorials of the same thing but i dont think there will any difference. if we just make 1 tutorial of everything. then make a post/topic which ordered everything on a kind of way that even a noob could find it. we also need some sirius people that want to develope on this files. because this is a good game but still there are a lot of things missing.(so i think we can better wait till 2010 or 2012 and make a xiah 2 legal server) ofcourse we dont want to wait and we're stucked with these files. so what i suggest is,
1.: make a server of the current xiah by hacking cracking etc. etc. of the current xiah gamescampus
2.: wait till 2012 for xiah 2 legal server
3.: being bored after 2 weeks within the current xiah private server.

just write same query more than twice liek delete kolliper where nikr = 1

I removed line 1, then started query again. I got this error :

the itemtemplate thing is the data... e.g.

[COLOR=blue][B]REPLACE INTO[/B][/COLOR] [COLOR=seagreen]'items'[/COLOR] ([COLOR=purple]412,0,0,1,2,0,30,40,2,1,0,0,0,0,0,3,4,1,4,4,44[/COLOR]...)

For that you would get something like - invalid syntax at line 0. Thats just a MySQL example, i cant really give any for MSSQL... But if the table doesnt exist then it wont accept it.. So make sure you are putting it in the right place... caps and stuff dont usually count, but i dunno, not been on a mssql

@ All : I suggest using Imageshack for screenshots hostings, and put here thumbnails instead of a full pic. Everybody doesn't have a 24" LCD display.

Ports opened ?

In registry files & xiah_server database, try to put ur local IP, it looks like 192.168.x.x

If u dunno it, then START>EXEC>IPCONFIG and ENTER.

Or use simply 127.0.0.1 and tell us what will happen.

I continue doing improvments to my server.

Last news :

- successfully found where the in game chars are stored in database and renaming works ;

- using XIAHMONSTERS.TXT found in this thread, I successfully build a script, which can do all the translations in a single shot ;

- build a simple commands file to help start and stop server more easy.

Here they are :

Simply rename START and STOP to .BAT, put then in the desktop, and u know how to use them.

Monsters file = use it in MSQL query and voila !


And share your work, people !



A next step will be running along the maps, and finding real names. I mean : there are Mad dogs, mad dog boss, mad dog in the sands and so on...
I want (for my own desire, dunno if u guys have the same feeling) to do a -nearby- perfect copy as possible.
