There's a head problem who know this problem

Create in "3DS Max - Blender"

Open the material editor, apply a material, set your texture as diffuse color in the maps section of the material.
(For your viewing pleasures in 3ds max tick "show standard map in viewport" (the checkerboard with light bulb icon) to enable rendering of the texture in your viewport)

Well did you put the texture together with the elu?
Elu is a 3d mesh container, it doesnt include any textures itself.
Ever wondered why there are all these .dds files ...? those are textures.

PS: add a biped and rig the piece to the head bone properly.
