Just installed windows XP and the fucking pop ups are so annoying, how i get rid?

what kind of pop-ups? the windows messenger pop-ups or pop-ups of pictures/sites/etc...?

if its the small msg box kind...

1. Go to

'Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services'

2. From the list of services double click 'Messenger'

3. On the 'General' tab do the following:

- From the 'Startup type' drop down menu select 'Disabled'.
- And in the 'Service Status' click the 'Stop' button.'

4. Click 'Apply' then 'OK' and you should be rid of em from now on
