[Help] Please help with error while seting up server

I know other people have asked this. But the solutions that worked for them aint working for me..

I am following Dheeraj's guide [ Awesome work and very detailed ] to set up server. I am using the server files from <My server 205> pack.

I have installed SQL 2000.
I have installed Update for sp4.
Installed BDE.
Ran the ODBC reg file.
Edited the tdb.ini.

Yet i get this error while starting server.


My OS - Win xp with SP2

I used the ODBC that came along with the server files. I cross checked the DNs references and the are all there.

Ya.. it looks like an ODBC error only. But i have scanned it again and again and dont see anything wrong. my dll is in the right place. There was one small doubtful looking entry for the ODBC reg file.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\FriendDB]
"Driver"="C:\\WINDOWS\\System32\\SQLSRV32.dll"
"Server"="(local)"
"Database"="HSDB"

I dont quite understand why this is pointing to HSDB rather than Friend DB.

Please help. I cant keep my eyes open anymore and i cant get sleep without seeing this thru

It was the ODBC entries. Fixed it now managed to start the servers. Thank you ^^.

Change the A3ASD in 7770 tdb.ini to Login202

Why do u ask? But its an awesome guide that you have put up man. Very extensive.

Ah ~ I have been playing A3 for a long time and was part of the initial CB team for Sg. I was so happy with A3 India finally managing to make it through and felt this private server could threaten that. That was a sincere appeal. I am into game development and game publishing for a living so its kind of personal .
