Hey, just wondering where I can get the Vista service pack 1. I've looked on the Microsoft but everything seems confusing. Theres hundreds of different exe's and versions...

Also...

"DO NOT CLICK DOWNLOAD IF YOU ARE UPDATING JUST ONE COMPUTER: A smaller, more appropriate download is available on Windows Update. "

Its this computer I'm updating. and only this computer...

Seriouslly confused.

mm these service packs are confusing - i am still having Sp2 (XP) because stupid MS can't gimme update. i am now thinking about manual update. and yeah Ignore that message - download it anyway because only thing that will change is SP download size. its only like 100 or bit more MB, if you have big HDD it won't be a problem ^^

Dude 7GB for Service Pack 1... uhm, maybe I'll just get the 64bit CD eh?

I have updates enabled anywho.

Well just let the windows update run on XP and you get SP3
I keep having this message's "ready for install" :P, but i hate SP3 so i keep on SP2

I just wan't to use all 4GB of RAM inside my PC... Vista is only showing 3.

:glare:

What is so hard? I Google'd "Vista service pack 1" and this was the first result :

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/bb738089.aspx

Now there are 2 links right there clearly written on that page :

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...6D-5EBB-413B-89C9-CB3D06D12674&displaylang=en
and
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...4B-32B2-41CC-BD8B-D71EDA5EC07C&displaylang=en

First is for 32 bit vista, 2nd is 64 bit.

Roughly 450MB for the 32, just over 700MB for the 64. Where are you getting 7GB from?

Geez, learn to read.

I've learnt to read, so has everyone... Its just a common mis judge of a word. Ok?
