check your firewall, turn it off or add to exception the port used by your server and make sure they can both Database server and the Cabal Main server. Restart your server and retry. Also check the cabal config if you done right.

my server is working fine now and we can play over the LAN connection.

the question now, how others outside our LAN connection get connected to our server?
lets say some other internet connection or for public to connect on our server

i put the IP for Players in cabal config but still they can't connect

how to know my ports? from my logs? what file to know my ports?

also for public client files(cabal client)
is there a need to edit the "Internal.txt"
i mean the "IP" and "IP_CHAT" should i put my whatismyipaddress?
because i'm just wondering how public can connect to my server if those areas are just my centos ip

Port Forwarding is through the use of my Router/modem?
is there other way not to use router/modem?

because there are humors that if i open ports through my router/modem it's easy for intruder to get inside my connection


NEVERMIND! PROBLEM SOLVED!
i just open ports and then everythings are working perfectly now!
besides the ports are from centos so if ever an intruder get inside they will go first on my virtualbox, no worries at all

Hello, I install and restore the database with success, and the Centos Server too, but the client keeps me given errors, I use the TG Client, with the patch of this thread but the main keeps given errors of cabalmain corrupt file, I don't know what else do, some one that success run EP8 can share which client and patch use?

Edit: I found it but this community is really change a lot, I remember how Chumpy and others help to people like me to have everything at hand to run a pserver but now days developers call to sys admins or noobs to learn programming that's not ok, a community like this is for knowledge exchange, I can exchange my sysadmin knowledge with people with a server problem but its ridiculous to see people just trolling everyone for a cabalmain, definitely I'm gone to retire of cabal pserver, in ep2 everybody helps everybody in ep8 everybody trolls and insult everybody that's not cool.

knowledge exchange sweetie, no change, I'm a old guy of the internet and We start communities long time ago maybe before you know how to click, trust me when I'm say that I know how to behave and must important how to belong a community forum, with all my respect I'm not lazy or spammer wheres the spam in my last post? I cant Use that GM tool, i tried both IP's , port 1433 is forwarded and i still have account error

I follow step by step, but here is ending, because i can't login with root and centOS IP address

so centos firewall and my pc firewall is deactivated..

ok, i solved this problem , but now i have another, i paste all from that patch to client i chanded ip to my CentOS ip, and if my internal is in database , all servicer are running and i have disconnect , and if my internal is in main folder i cant connect to channel server, and all servicer are running please for help by team Viewer.
