How to Fix This Error

SITEM::LoadFile(), ITEM::SBASIC unknown data version

this happens after i edit the item.isf and add a new scroll to the game for the new skills i added.

can someone help me, im stuck here >.<, thank you

Try to backup with working file before you add... then add new skill again by your skilleditor
Maybe encrypt wrong or something wrong with skill editor , not compatible .maybe.

i think nothing wrong with skilleditor, if i dont edit something in the item.isf - it will get me to the channel in game., but if i want to add scrolls for my skills using item.isf, it will get me this error

*all was working with emulator before even with the new scrolls ( tested it ) . sorry im very confused what to do

Or maybe you could copy item scroll from other then add new. After that you just change the id of skill .try this

did that, except the id of the skill, should i change it? because the target skill id of the scroll should be like this > - Scroll of Brawler Dex Skill 177 > target skill 0,14 ( MID, SID) , if i change it wouldn't that scroll be unusable? thank you

change mid - sid, the scroll will change the target of scroll to skill you change

so i will change the mid - sid of the skill so i can change the target of the scroll so i can fix the error?

example frm: IN_000_014 - Brawler Dex Skill 177 = i change to something IN_099_01 ?

just copy your old id of " item scroll" like id 72,1 at itemeditor then rightclick " paste new " ,it will have new id become (ex id 72,53) with same name - change mid sid 4,0 (tab2) of this new 72,53 id to id of your skill you want it be
ex : my skill have id 0,1 Tokkan punch at skilleditor
now i open itemeditor then copy -> paste new id item scroll , at tab 2, change mid sid from 4,0 to 0,1 then item name to tokkan scroll , save it, that ' all

anyway thanks for helping me out this far. got no other person i can ask to, was into this ran online private server thing and i quit for school purposes after the full fixed gunner release, so confuse about this new thing, never encountered this before,before i was so free to add any item or skill i want >.>. so sorry and thank you in advance

as i said, your itemeditor are not compatible or using old client and source like ep7 , some of them can't creat new ( must copy paste same type then edit it )... you can try ep 9++ or ep 11 client , it doesn't need skill scroll anymore to learn skill !

so basically, the "ADD" button is not advisable so i only use "Copy" and "Paste(New)"?

this itemeditor came from the source that i compiled on the same thread, the client is Doom Ran Episode 7.

*im trying to setup a server that has a 4 class server (aka Classic Ran), well i tried all i can find on the release section, like ep9 files / episode 10 complete files / episode 10 with shaper class / ranworld gameplay / episode 11 source and files . those threads were either have dead links or have client but no source or have source but no client :'(

sometime "add" doesn't work cuz some of table (CSV) at client are not same with tool but it still working fine if you copy paste!

* i forgot what thread i saw that one though lol, i was left & right clicking all the links i could find later discovered that this client and the source if working with no errors ( except for now though )

yep this is the one i downloaded, i tried the editor from bin and from the source code, still getting that error



by the way, you have links for client's ep9 or ep11? i will have to modify their charset so the starting skills of the characters requires scroll. they will lose fun of playing when they all have the skills available at level 1. planning to make them grind, thank you good sir for helping!

thanks a lot good sir, ok i'll try tommorow downloading latest episodes. also im a noob on c++. so ill try to explore what i can tommorow, hopefully i can fix it by my self . thank you again
