Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a Perfect World 1.7.4 server and I'm trying to restore/fix the Ice Hell dungeon.

The dungeon itself exists in the client/server files, but I'm having trouble understanding how the dungeon is actually implemented and triggered. In particular, I'm trying to find out:

1. Which server-side files or source code are responsible for the Ice Hell instance?
2. How is the dungeon entrance/instance creation triggered?
3. Is the dungeon started through a quest, NPC script, server-side instance code, or a combination of these?
4. Are there any specific source files, scripts, or configurations that I should look at?

I have access to the server source code and client files, and I'm trying to understand the original implementation rather than simply copy a solution.

If anyone has experience with Perfect World 1.7.x or has worked with the Ice Hell dungeon before, I would really appreciate any guidance or pointers on where to look.

Thank you!

To be more precise, I am trying to fix the button inside the "Ice Hell" dungeon. I am trying to understand what this button is linked to and why the script/trigger is not executed after pressing it.

I am also trying to fix the dungeon's logic itself. I noticed that when I summon the first boss, the countdown does not start, and after killing the first boss, the second boss does not appear.

I tried modifying the DLL and managed to make the first boss spawn after pressing the button inside the dungeon. However, the button itself does not disappear after being pressed.

That's why I am trying to understand how this logic works and where exactly it is implemented. Maybe you could give me some advice on where I should look or what exactly I should analyze.

Key Issues to Keep in Mind Regarding Dungeon Triggers:

  • 1. Tasks (Quests): They trigger the conditions for the dungeon to function. An example is a hidden task—similar to the Solo Tower mechanics—where you need a sufficient number of players.
  • 2. Boss Spawn Conditions: The 2nd boss onward will only spawn if a trigger is set for it in npcgen.data.
  • 3. A Simpler Method: You can simply remove the boss triggers in npcgen.data for map is95 (if I remember correctly). Doing this will make all bosses spawn normally even without enough players, and the dungeon countdown timer will start as soon as the first player enters the instance.
Note: This applies if you're referring to is95. If it's a different map, please provide additional screenshots.
