I never finished this, but I ported most of the DXSDK sample / GunZ2 HDR effect stuff from GunZ2 over to GunZ1. Attached is the manager interface, and the broken HDR sample cpp/h. There is a diff with the RealSpace2 changes you'll need based from my local SVN copy.

Attached are the aforementioned files.

Hopefully it helps someone out there, or someone can just fix the HDR texture stuff and get it working. I've spent a bit of time on this, and I didn't want it to go to waste.

I could not find any tone-mapping shader code in my 'HDRLight.fx' (gunz2_20130225_225959) can you attach yours?
