Alright well I was planning to head down to the AT&T store and buy a 16GB iPhone 3G tommorow. Expected fee's were $300 for the phone, $175 for the ETF after I cancel the contract and $70 for the first month of service. So after all is said and done I would get the phone for about $550. Just wanted to know if there are any other possible fee's I should know about and/or an even better method to go about doing it.

Don't listen to these anti things nerds.
iPhones are AWESOME.
IT may have a few less features that aren't at all important to the majority of people that will benefit much more from a cleaner, simpler, more intuitive, and much better-looking operating system. Not only that but the hardware itself even looks and feels better than any phone out there.

No offense guys, but the type of people that care solely about features and specifications are a minority. More people are far more concerned with how well said features/specifications are interconnected, laid out and presented to the user.

Now if you're part of that minority that only cares for features and specifications, go for an N96 which looks decent and uses what in my opinion is the second best mobile operating system out there.

As for the fee's, you should check the specific Apple website to your country as they will have information about exactly how much you'll have to pay to buy and activate your phone in the rate plans themselves.

Hope this helps,
Johnny

^ agree with that guy above.

Although iphones are great and theres no doubt about it, they are not worth it for the 550. you can get a better phone thats not as big of a lunker for way less nowdays.

I only like iphones becuase of their Wi-FI functionality.

I recently got an LG KU990 - Viewty.
Works and looks great, just misses out on the Wi-Fi function :(

My friend, Matthew and his sister has one, they say they are amazing!
