Is it possible to run a cabal server without router ?

yes it is possible by using a host only network (only you and your lan can play) or use a vpn connection and that will make your server public too.

There is always Hamachi, but Hamachi sux. My server used it once. My CentOS kept D/cing..

okay that information is a lot and I can't understand all it that is said there so I found a little information which explain most of it features I tried once one man helped me but there was nothing ...
the VPN doesn't worked ? So the last my chance to run a server is to get a router ?
Can u tell me the best kind of routers ? I mean very good combination between price and quality.

PS: I will try it again the trick with VPN but ... not sure it will work ... I have PPPoE connection to internet and very hard for me to deal with it ...

the easiest way is to buy a router but you can always use a vpn connection just use for centOS ppp and ppptp for connection and for sql just use the incorporates vpn connection wizard.

hmm I have a bad feeling for this routers never used before ... cypher I have suggestion for you can u only deal with that VPN connection I will let u connect to my computer that will save me 160$ for router I have very good connection nice machine but can't configure that VPN and my dream is to run a cabal server of course u will gain full permissions and all u want will be yours just do me that favor I will be always beholden to you PM me if you are agree. I will be very proud if a pro' like you help me.

The simplest VPN is probably Hamachi. The windows side of it is very simple to set up, the linux is a bit more complex but i wrote a nice guide on setting it up on linux a while ago.

yes you can and there are cheaper routers you know.... i bought mine with 800 euro but i needed it for my cisco exams. a cisco dev router with ssh access.

Hamachi is a normal VPN built around a simple to use interface. Any other VPN such as OpenVPN will be much harder to configure as you will probably find that nobody here has any experience with it.

@chumpywumpy I read all the things in the file u shared I couldn't understand it all no problem with installing hamachi but I do some mistakes with configuring server IP's could you help me (or maybe soem1 who knows how to deal with them) to config it use hamachi
