Re: [JAVA]Hard???????[JAVA]

Great opening post! [/end-sarcasm]

This topic really serves no purpose, other than for me to raise my post count by one because I can't help but post in it...

Yes, Java is simple. It includes files automatically and auto-deconstruction which are major pluses. Those are about the only upside to Java other than web app capabilities.

Side note: Check your grammar - Heil - Your !'s and ?'s are mixed up, you used quotes on a book, and you only capitalized the first letter of your sentences. If you're going to give an attempt, try a tad bit harder.

He's 11.

Re: [JAVA]Hard???????[JAVA]

I'm 11.

I get straight A'S in school...

I understand what he said completely. Don't think us 11 year olds cannot understand language in a mature fancy way. Wh005h meant that Java is easy to code, the topic has no point in creating it. He also tells what Java is mainly used by (what creates the Java). And for the last, he said your grammar isn't right, get it straight next time.

EASY THING. 'PHEW' it was so easy.
Since you think we're little, we still give an attempt to know words that you know and you're what 13-22 year olds? I don't give a crap.

Re: [JAVA]Hard???????[JAVA]

*ignoring those posts in between my post and the first post*
I'm on my way to learning Java and Java 3D. I already know Pascal (another programming language) - I see that as a thing that helps and disturbs at the same time.
As for easiness - Java might be easy to start with, yes. I had thought that Pascal would be better, but no, I don't think that anymore. By learning Pascal one doesn't learn about possible classes, methods etc. in a way that's needed for advanced programming.
Java is based on classes, which requires the programmer to understand how it works, therefore allowing to do more advanced programming than those who have just learned Pascal could.
Though Pascal would be easier to learn, I think. It doesn't require that much understanding of structures like classes, as they're not common in basic programming in Pascal.
Well, that's my opinion...

Best regards and... may Java be with you :biggrin2:

Re: [JAVA]Hard???????[JAVA]

Java is definately a great language to know (though I speak from observation, not experience). It seems to grow on people rather fast and is very versatile. As with many languages, a lot of it will come easy.

However, don't fool yourself. You will reach a point in life where you will want to program one hell of an application and it will be difficult. I can gaurantee it...Bwaha!

On a side note, I'm glad to see young people programming. Keep it up.

Re: [JAVA]Hard???????[JAVA]

Haha, you think thats once you read a book (Sams's books are quite good though) and copy pasted some examples that you understand the code? I thought that too when I was young (C++ though), but when you want to make some other/bigger applications you realise you really have to learn A LOT.

If you have a book with questions + answers, it will not train you to answer the questions yourself, you will just look at the answer and sometimes don't even think WHY it is that answer. Once you have your own 'questions' (ideas for an application) you cannot just look up the answer in your bookie.

Like DarkKnight said, don't fool yourself, it WILL be difficult muhaha.

PS: The first thing I wanted to learn was C, but it was quite hard so I started with PHP :P, PHP is very easy ;).

PPS: If you guys wouldn't have made such long posts either, I could atleast just've deleted this thread ^^, as he just asks "Am I good?". Which makes it quite a useless thread ^^.

java is easy its not hard..

if you need help so ask 'javanerd' on moparscape forums MOPARSCAPE is a java forum closely...

I dont get why people think if your 11 or 12 your "stupid". im 12 and I know more then most people. I can put together computers and fix a faulty router or modem.
But don't want to get off topic. Java is easy to learn. I teach myself everything. I had to teach myself Java script. I have used java to add some things in retros. New system, IP check, Cookie tracker. The basic stuff.
Jave=Easy

It's easy because most of the methods are already included and there's no searching for new libraries a lot of times.
I'll be building an http server in java soon but it's pretty simple (except the PHP library inclusion bah).

Java is something you can start on.. but dont fool your self, its nothing you should use for anything major. Its one of those things you learn before you try the real thing.

Sadly, java has some major turndowns, starting with the fact that it cant be really native to a system... yes it can be considered good that its multi-platform... but then again it can be decompiled to almost bare source code.

Also people complain about the speed of java... its not as slow as everyone thinks.... a properly made java program can almost as fast as a C++ program, depending on the use of course
