L2O L2 FBI Raids

Apparently the FBI is doing some raiding on some servers.
Delta announced this about 20min ago and he is or was discussing it in the #l2-fbi channel

It can't possibly be simplified more than it already has, in fact it's not even a debate or argument, L2j is just as illegal as L2OFF.
Wait, let me rephrase that to keep things clear. L2j itself is not illegal, while L2OFF is. The act of running a server with either L2j or L2OFF (regardless) is equally illegal.
You're infringing on copyright, intellectual and registered property and what else have you.

One thought as to why private servers have not been taken down is that the "cost" of taking down one server just to have everyone migrate to another free server or several springing up in it's place is unjustifiable. It's risk vs payout.

I'd love to start another circular debate with yet another person that doesn't understand fundamental legallity, but it's been done way too many times already to be written again.

I recon this post will be closed in the near future anyhow if discussion doesn't take a turn for the better.
