Looking for Feedback: Designing a New MMO Server Rankings Platform

I’m currently working on a new project — a website called

, which will be a platform dedicated to listing and voting for MMO game servers.


The main idea is to create a fair, modern, and user-friendly ranking site where players can discover great servers and server owners can showcase their projects. I want it to be more than just another toplist — something that both players and server admins actually enjoy using.


Before I finalize the design and features, I’d love to hear your opinions:

• What kind of features would you like to see on such a website?
• What makes a toplist worth visiting for you as a player?
• For server owners, what tools or options would make you want to list your server?
• Do you prefer simple vote-based rankings, or should we add extra features (reviews, comments, badges, etc.)?
• What annoys you about existing MMO toplist sites that we should do better?

Your feedback will help shape the platform so it’s actually useful for the community.

Your designing skills is really awfull.. You should hire some designer, cause it wont work with that 2000's design

I took a quick look at the website as well and honestly I do not see how your site is any different from the countless other websites doing exactly this.

For example, a quick comparision to "xtremetop100" which has been around for ages now, your site look essentially like a quick copy + paste of that.
You mention "modern" but your site doesn't exactly look very modern, honestly looks less "modern" than the previously mentioned top 100 site.

So, what exactly makes your site different from everyone else and why would anyone use it over the others?
How are you going to ensure your site is more "fair", as you mentioned, than all the others?
Honestly looks like you're going down the exact same route as everyone else, so I fail to see how you're more "fair".

For example, I remember back in the day when I used to play on Ragnarok Online private servers.
A lot of those servers offered something they called "Vote Points", what they did was that they had on the website links to various voting websites and if you were logged in on the website, they'd track that you clicked the link and give you a Vote Point for each of the links you clicked.
They could obviously not tell just from that if you truly voted or not, but I'd imagine that most people did since they were already on the voting website at that point.

The Vote Points could then be traded in for various items in game that gave you some benefits, which made most players want to do it daily just to get those benefits.

So how are you going to handle the above scenario in order to keep the votes truly fair on your website?
Since the above scenario is essentially buying votes, it would give those servers that do similar things an unfair advantage IMO.

The reason of the post is to gather feedback, to make the website of a value instead of one more similar project to xtremetop100.

regarding the design, yes design is horrible I do agree with that

and regarding the working principals, depending on the feedback from possible users, the working principal could be reworked
