lol no
looks like a serial and parallel cable
you need a network cable :p aka UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
or firewire or wireless ofcourse...
(omg i'm a geek =D)
(sure you could setup a network through serial but that's not standard practice)

newayyy
you need a network cable, which is not that :)

looks more like this:

P.S you have "straight" and '"crossover"
as far as i know;
straight is used for computer to modem /hub /router
(usually white colour cable)
crossover is used for computer to computer
(usually black colour cable)

if you're gonna make a 2 puter network you'll need crossover
if more you'll need straight

neway always happy to help if u need me (msn)

your router is most likely a seperate box.. u need RJ45 cables (think thats wot they are called) and put then in the computer and then into the router and do this for each computer.

then connect the the router via ip and use the manual to set it up (cba to go into detial)
just make sure u have auto DNS and DHCP and it should be fine. oh and that ur computers are on detect ip.. dont use static. the router will give the ip.
