mencrypt -e PublicKey.txt System.xml system.xml.mef

Decrypt

mencrypt -d PrivateKey.txt System.xml.mef system.xml

thanks but as serious for the following files which has folder:
MODEL / man.mrs

btw this came with the 1.5 release in the tools folder.

NOTE: this basically kills the .mef encryption.

You shouldn't use this for any of your encryption techniques, as they are *easily* bypassed unless you protect your exe from reversing, and even then you better hide the key in a different location.

And then anyone who knows what they are doing will be able to easily reverse the application and determine the keys, rendering it useless again.


You're just better off coming up with your own solution to stop people editing your files.

Very true, I wasn't sure if this was shared before or not with information on how to use it so I shared it, personally I don't see a point in any protection on my end I do this for the hell of it and to see what I am able to do I have no intention in opening a server anymore there is enough of them out there
