Hi guys just wanna ask... i got my server running and i can connect from the computer that i am serving... I've finished port-forwarding and stuffs... the problem is that i can only connect through 127.0.0.1 ip and can only connect from the server that i am serving... i tried connecting through another pc in my lan and used ip 192.168.1.3 w/c is the lan ip of my server... i haven't tried wan though coz every time my connection gets restarted/disconnected, another wan ip comes up... can anyone tell me whats the problem why i cant connect through 192.168.1.3? and can anyone help me with how to resolve the wan ip stuff... thanks guys i really will appreciate ur help...

Hey when i want to make @navicat localhost localhost root..... NO PASSWORD it says cannot connect to mysql server???

here u can setup a dns server which always will lead to your server. That should solve your wanip problems.
connecting using 192.168.xxx.xxx doesn't work? Try using 127.0.0.1 thats the loopadres the entire server runs on. So u should be able to get into that since it's also the loopadres your router/modem runs on.

pls answer this question. over 10 guys would be happy then!
our problem is: We try to connect with our hosting pc to the server with 127.0.0.1. It works fine. but if someone other tries to connect(a PC too with lanconnection) it crashes if you choose a channel. Whats the problem???

smokey....i hv some problem.....i was on a ADSL dialup and its not ROUTER. When ppl who trying to connect and ply"when choosing channel"it said server undergoing maintance. Im using no-ip....and if can please make a guide for opening ports for MODEM

I have a problem and I cant find an solution I did read the forum nobody got this problem >_<
If i start WorldServer it says: [FATAL ERROR]: Could not execute query: Unknown column 'startItems' in 'field list'
Can someone help me please :S

Oh.. yeah.. you read and searched the forums.. i can tell..

Btw people this will be my last post in this Thread everyone who doesnt get his server working after all this isn't even Worth having his/her own server!

Hi, I used the search button and there are no posts on my error so anyway i got the fatal error thing with the startitems so i did that and I restarted the world server and got an error saying [FATAL ERROR]: Could not execute query: Unknown Column 'value 3' in 'field list'

Using Windows 2k SP4.
WorldMap will close after start Config is okay everything is fine i see you said unzipping files again because one might be missing and i did it 3 times even 4 times redid config each time and still same stuff SIEGSERV blablabla Close right after.

yo smokey.. can u plz help me? ive done everything that u instructed me b4 and nothing happened... i tried connecting through my wan ip by using no-ip.com software but i just found out that when i connect through my no-ip count example (mywebpage.no-ip.info), i get the page for my router setup.. even if i have 3-4 pcs connected to the router i only get 1 wan ip... btw my router is "Prolink H9200P model"... can u help me connect with this given condition? or can anybody help?

People can connect just fine and such login and more il try with MYSQL 5.0 to see if it change anything but i noticed that loading WorldMap from a Remote comp worked fine too..
Couldn't Connect to CharServer on Server comp but it was loading without crashing with the same files... Different OS tho Windows XP while Other is WIN2k il try some windows update to see.

PS: people can connect up to Login then select serv and nothing. So basically only Probleme here is WorldMap.

Oh yep Trouble with Windows 2000 it seem because it works flawlessly on windows XP... thing is i need it to work on Windows 2000 know why it does that on win2k?

First of all, thanks for the guide it helped!
Secondly, I'm having a problem after all is set up. I have all the IP addresses correct all the ports forwared, and yet after I login that the server list is popped up it just puts the name of my server on the left box and nothing on the right therefore not letting me connect to my server. I would like to know what is going on.

Did you put a channel name? when u were configuring ur server?
