My name: Michael
Date of birth: 16th March 1994
Location: Scotland
Contact: You can PM me asking for my MSN, Skype etc.
A little bit about myself..
Most of you probably have no idea who I am but don't let that put you off my application. I joined nearly 5 years ago and since then I mainly posted in the Habbo Hotel and Runescape sections, but I also posted in a few others such as a few of the general sections and SAMP. I believe I have a good understanding of Java as well. I have had a previous name on here and that is Sparta3000 and I also have another account which I do not use called Worthy. But anyway, this paragraph has no complete relevance to my application - it was just there to let you know a bit about myself.
The section I am applying for..
I would like to moderate the whole of the Merchant Zone as it appears there are only supervisors there. I've seen people make threads that don't fulfill MentaL's post requirements (for example this thread: http://forum.ragezone.com/f607/mu-core-1-0-8-a-857446/ when it is meant to follow this thread; http://forum.ragezone.com/f607/create-buying-thread-requirements-669482/).
My past experience..
I have been a moderator on plenty of forums and private servers (although they are different types of things, the moderation is still a lot similar). I've owned a few forums and one peaked a couple of thousand members but I left and I let a friend run it for me due to the fact that I had no interest in what the forum was about anymore. On those forums, every time I saw somebody break a rule I would immediately give them a warning or infraction (depending on what the rule was and/or how badly they broke it) even if it was a good friend of mine. I know the moderation system on vBulletin like the back of my hand and can handle rule breaking users fairly well. If I need to give an infraction or a warning out then I will try my best to help the user out by telling them clearly what he did and what rules he broke and then attempt to make sure he doesn't break any rule again. I mean c'mon, everybody has received an infraction at some point, plenty of the newcomers to the private server world will have no idea what's going on and how double posting is against the rules but I will help them out and make sure they don't break any rules.
Some of my skills and qualities..
One quality of mine is that I'm reliable which means I can be relied on to enforce the forum rules, be active and search around the forum even in sections of which I'm not moderating to make sure no rules have been broken, I can be relied on to do something I'm asked first time with no hesitation and I can also be relied on to make a good effort in everything. I'm good at working on my own and as a member of a team and also under minimum supervision. I also believe that I am appropriate and professional at many things including just regular typing up and also moderation. I believe I am very mature (I am 18 years old, after all) and tend not to join in on arguments (unless constructive) and rather banish them. If somebody insults me then I will remain calm and simply give them an infraction.
Why you should hire me..
I believe I should be hired as I am dedicated and have quite a lot of experience which means I know what I'm doing. I can handle situations at ease and I don't get all angry just because someone is raging at me because I gave them an infraction or whatever. Also as I said before, I see a lot of people not following the thread guidelines in the Merchant Zone but if I were to be made a moderator there then I'm sure that would be changed. If a sale looks suspicious then I will investigate it and see if the person is legit or not and perhaps even make a thread listing trusted people and scammers so there is less chance of people being scammed. Maybe even have a post count limit so scammers don't make new accounts and try to sell stuff when they only have one post. If people need a middleman then they'll be able to go to me as I would be the moderator of that section and be trusted.
Contributions to the section..
There's not much I can do to contribute to this section as there isn't anything to discuss here. I have however made a thread and here it is..

It still has an example that I know what the section guidelines are when posting a thread.
