For a while, I’ve been trying to remember what game an ad I vaguely remember came from.

I’m pretty sure it must have been somewhere around 2006-2009, and it MAY have been around the time that Nexon was buying ads like crazy but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t MapleStory.

Anyway, I remember it being an ad with some 2d style characters that were in a bathtub in some sort of enchanted forest setting? Maybe I’m remembering it a bit wrong - but I’m almost sure that it included a female character in a bathtub in some strange setting.

Could it have been Ragnarok? Fiesta? Pls help!

Doubtful many still exist if at all if you mean banner ads. They're such recyclable and replaceable assets they're not really often looked for. Magazine adverts, maybe. It's also a topic clearly aimed at 13-year-old males so unfortunately there are probably 10-million similar snuff adverts out there.

Try the Internet Archive (Wayback Machine), especially old versions of gaming sites like IGN, GameSpot, and MMO portals from 2002–2008, where some banners and Flash ads are still preserved. Also check communities like r/tipofmyjoystick — they’re very good at identifying exactly these kinds of forgotten game ads, including old MapleStory campaigns.

So I'm thinking now it was probably "ANGELS ONLINE" From around 2006

It wasn't this, though. The art style from what I remember was like pixel like MapleStory or Ragnarok Online.
