Sooo anybody got any exprience with using these so called tweaked OS?
Is it stable and worth it? And for the confused people im talking about vista black edition

mhmm thanks for the comments.
Atm its like 50/50 if I should change :o

nah... frankly if you can fork out the money for the real thing, go for it, fakes are just modified reals... just no real liscence

Or just download it.

The legalities of Windows is sometimes hard for people to follow, but essentially if you have ever had a Pc with an XP sticker on the side of it with a serial key, then downloading XP is legal as long as you use the same serial key. It will of course not work, but then you just call up Windows, give them the product code it will give you, and tell them a BS story of how you unplugged your hard drive and ever since XP has been asking you to re-activate. They give you the activation code and there, it's all done. Completely activated and all of it legal.

It only becomes illegal once you use a serial you find on the net and then use a crack on it.

Oh its not a serial problem I legally own serveral keys.
Its just that I wanna try something new instead of good ol' xp

Bad experience. It's much better to install clean OS and then install your stupid modification stuff. I don't recommend to modify your OS in general because it can call some fatal errors and then you have topics here like "Why this is not running, why that is not running". You fucked your OS - that's why.

I had alot of different kinds of XP last time, Black XP, Leopard XP, etc. None of them actually fufilled my needs. I could tell you what are the differences -

1. Themes. Alot of themes which could be downloaded.
2. Extra programs. Those that are cracked. (Microsoft Office 2007, AutoCAD, etc)
3. Tweaks. Disabling crucial programs.

So, this are the stuffs that can be bought/found on the internet (as in tips on tweaking and themes). I wouldn't really recommend one tho.

Very well then.
But I want my xp to look something like this :

Could anybody tell me what to download to get it like that?
Install Linux (Ubuntu) and you will be able to make whatever you want with it.

Ahh actually thanks thats a great idea imma try ubuntu out!

That is the funniest thing I've ever heard.
Ubuntu is a whole different OS which doesn't have the style Insane prefers, even if you are a 1337-ubuntoon.

Have you failed to realize Linux is Open Source?

That means freedom to completely edit the GUI (Gnome, KDE, etc)

I am trying very hard to ignore this and not give you an infraction, considering 1 more active infraction will give you a 1 month ban i believe. InZan3 has already said they he is going to try Ubuntu, yet you are here speaking on his behalf and somehow you know that he won't find what he is looking for? Have a clue before posting in this section, it's in the rules, but we've already established that you can't read very well so it's not all your fault.

Actually all he needs is to download Vista theme on some theme engine like Beryl and then just make the windows transparent.
You can make them transparent, I don't remember how because I'm on Windows ATM but you can, actuallly you can make wahtever you want in Linux if you have the knowledge. MAC's are build on Linux, so you can build your Inzan3'ACS's :)

Here is one of the many Vista themes on Beryl: http://www.beryl-themes.org/content/show.php/Windows+Vista+Aero+White?content=86500

The thing is that you will realize that Vista theme suck hard when you will make something like this (I currently have very similar theme): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYgV2GlsufI

Mac isn't strictly based on Linux, which I'm guessing you're reffering to Darwin.

Mac OS X is based on several other BSD's also, It's not just built around Darwin
