Need solution to remove F5 Auto2 Option

Hi all,

As most of you may know, when we hit the F5 button, not only does it show the macro page, it also has a Auto2 option which enables players to activate auto pot and auto cast features.

I previously played in a server that managed to removed and disable that feature. For now, I am playing in a friend's server and we would like to remove this option as well.

Would appreciate if anyone with the knowledge of removal could assist us in letting us know the necessary steps to locate the required files and proceedure to remove the function from the server.

At this point has anyone discovered a way to disable to auto pot and auto cast in option 2 of F5 menu?

I think its the "A3Client.exe" tht makes tht possible. Auto Pot and all those stuffs...so if we get a legit A3Client.exe i think it wont be thr... it's MY OPINION..may be WORNG.

the variables may be loaded from the client (most likely) but the text strings arent stored in the a3client.exe, and Im not sure, but I recall omegaserver has some values disabled and I had to patch it with some files from the data folder in order to enable it. I do remember that the mercenary skills were in Korean and after my patch they were back in english. My bet is must be located inside the data folder. Since im not vitally interesed on it (because I like it fine), I havent dedicated too much time on this issue, just a few mins, but I will take a deeper look into it, just to help you out folks.

Personly I cant see the reason to remove F5 auto pot, the amount of pots that need to be used in one go is massive in the begining. Ive tryed without it and you just cant press fast enough.
I think the server should be sorted before ppl start doing special wishs.

Ppl are starting to notice A3 now and you must admit its a damn site better than a certain massively used, over rated, over modded and over played server that is no challenge any more.

This just what I think without all of you I would still be fighting to get this (GOOD) server running. I am not flamming ANYBODY.

Lets not mess this server up like what happened To MuOnline.

that process has already begun, I mean, some people has been messing bad with the game, and thats bad, IMHO, because fast players dont understand a good char takes month of hard work to get on a decent lvl according to server exp, which should be always low, because theres no point in playing a game when in less than a day you can match anyone that has been in there for weeks, or perhaps months.

As for the autopot, I think its a great thing, because you can focus on the important taks while lvling. But some players has been used to play on servers where the autopot was disabled on the client, and they consider it unfair. From my point of view is exactly the same thing to have it or not to have it, because if you are overwhelmed you should manually pot HP if needed, even if you have the auto option.

Well I am just giving a feedback to the reason why I am searching for the answer on how to disable this auto pot feature.

Basically most of the asian servers do not have auto pot by default. Such as A3 Singapore and A3 india had it disabled. To us, auto poting feature or auto skill casting as well as auto TP is a form of using external 3rd party software aka BOT.

Local players do not intend to rely on such a feature even if it is So-called legally integrated within the program. For more then 2 years, singapore a3 have ran without the F5 auto 2 options.

Thus players have trained up to be quick and accurate in potting, tp-ing F8 and also skill re-casting. And players who are well verse in handling such controls during complicated situations like PKing etc or during training at high end maps are celebrated for their skills and techniques.

It is still possible to type and chat along even if you have to do manual potting, we have done it once and hope to be able to do it again, auto casting is something which we don't really like, it actually over balance the game for mages.

If we hit back to reality of asian context, without auto casting, once an archer freewill a mage, a mage will have to skillfully avoid the next freewill while searching for routes to take for self manual recast while hitting the opponent. Now if a player manage to successfully complete such a cycle with carefully plan routes, he / she can over the attacker even if the attacker is higher level then him / her.

Thus technique and skills are what we aim to achieve. Not saying that those using auto do not have such skills, however we strive to gain balance while improving our techniques the way we may perceive as right in our asian context.

Hope the above clearly explains the reasons behind the request for anyone who have knowledge of the removal of this feature. Also I would request moderators to assist in making sure that this thread is one that is requesting for help and not one that is going to lead into discussion.

Further discussion of this issue are requested to be started on another thread if possible.
