official c4 client corrupted files problem L2J

tried downloading the full install of c4 client form lineage2.com and fileplanted but they were both currupted. Anyone having the same problem? Maybe NCsoft did it on purpose to make some profit off of those damn CDs.:batman:

Use Winrar to extract the files.

If you're download is finished, don't start extracting it already.
The file is about 2,5GB and it takes a while before your PC placed the whole file to the place you wanted.
So let your PC idle for 15 minutes after the download finished and your files wont be corrupted
I recommend using FireFox, worked fine for me since Chronicle 2.

its a trap, i tried it 3 times, same thing, corrupt, i guess they found a problem with their client so they made it corrupt until its fixed, which is supposed to be today, so keep yer eye on teh site they are supposed to release it TODAY!

the file is not corrupted, if there was a problem they would simply have remove the download link.

I've downloaded it yesterday at 21:00. (GMT +1)
So it's not a "trap", haha.
Just follow the steps me and neutrogenik posted and it should work.
A download cant be corrupted unless it didn't reach 100%
Most of the times a corrupted download is caused by a rather slow PC placing the file from the HDD Cache/CPU Cache (Something similiar to that) to your Download folder.
If this gets interrupted you need to redownload the whole file again.
You already interrupt this whole process while trying to open the Zipped archive if your PC didn't place the file yet.
So the only thing you can do is: Wait about 15 to 30 minutes after you've downloaded Chronicle 4.

try it yourself then, ive done it 3 times and i checked the forum they were talkin about exploits they found so they cut off the files and would release it on the 8th

There is a known problem extracting with rar. Use a zip based package. (winzip, 7zip)

And the size of this download didn't even change a bit.
I've compared my download from yesterday, with one my friend did 2 hours ago.
Size was 100% the same, so I think you're wrong.

Look dude, that guy needed help and he was not the only one who has experienced these problems and i was trying to help him by giving an alternative and shared what i did to fix it.

The Built-In Windows extracter isn't able to decompress/extract files bigger then 1GB, without getting an error or getting corrupted files.

So I also recommend using one of the following extracters:

I think that isnt correct. i had the same problem that all all files ( 6 *gg*) should be corrupted. Download Accelerator wouldnt complete the download und Firefox do it, but i couldnt open it with winrar or winace.

i tried with a doubleclick and windows opened the zip. now i started the setup.exe without extracting the files before and windows start to load the setup files to a temp dir and after 10min waiting the instalation begun. so the only what you need is enough space on c: for the temp files.

I was never able to extract files bigger then 900MB with the Built-In Windows extractor.
Always gave me corrupted files or errors during extracting.
But yes, maybe I am wrong.
Actually I'm pretty sure that it has to do with the "loading out of the cache" thing, but pretty sure isn't enough I guess ^_^

everytime i downloaded, it would complete around 1.9gig which is suppose to be 2.3gig.

I think it was messed up cuz i was using download accelerator. Im using Reget right now and i think this one will complete around 2.5gig so should be fine.

vicoxl busca el parche de Violator de texturas y system de c4 en ingles, ese se ven las cosas como quieras verlas pero creo que el weding dress el draconic bow y la fishing rod estan pitadas!
hacen que tu cliente se cuelgue.
