First post on RZ yay! Anyway, I just started map making 2 days ago and here's my first map. It's gone under 3 major updates since the first version (hence the v3) so I'm not sure if it counts as a first map but here it is!

Comments and feedback are always welcome! I'm planning on making maps that are completely unique so I'll need a good bank of experience :wink:

Re: Olympus v2

What are the attributes and triggers for?

regions are not viewable by players, using them for a design will not work

but if that is not what it was for then I'd assume is has something to do with the viewing area

No no, of course they're not for looks lol.

The attributes are safe zones. I made the map a free pk map before I decided to add the spectator levels. So after I added them, I had to make sure they were safe to be in lol.

The triggers on the bottom are teleports. The two in the preparation area lets players get on the spectator levels. The ones on the end of spectator levels brings you back from the spectator levels. The elevator ones simply move you up and down levels. The other ones around the viewing areas teleport you into the arena (since the entire perimeter is no move).

@Heinrich
Yeah, I should've used a bigger map lol :/ Didn't know just how large a 1x1 was.

It's not too late. All you need to do is make a map with the same name and rename the old map. For example, if your map is WdOlympus00-00.lnd, make a new 3x3 map and name it WdOlympus as well. Save it in a separate folder. Go to your original Olympus map and rename the .lnd to WdOlympus01-01.lnd. Copy and paste it into the folder of the new map, and you should have a 3x3 map now. All you need to do is weld the terrain, smooth it out and match the textures.

Nice idea with the elevators by the way. I like.
