PangYa Development Tools – Projects, Editors, Debugging Tools and More
Here you will find most of the tools I am currently developing for PangYa.Almost everything is still in BETA, so expect bugs, incomplete features, and changes. I will continue updating and improving these projects over time.
Below is a quick overview of what is currently available.
Map Editor
The Map Editor allows you to modify existing PangYa maps in a much simpler and faster way.
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
You can edit things such as:
- Textures
- Objects
- Object placement
- Map assets
- Several other elements inside an existing course
As an example, I modified Pink Wind in approximately one hour using this tool.
You can see the result here:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
You can also test modified maps directly on your local server without any problem.
Terrain Editor / Terrain Builder
This is currently the most complicated project.Creating the rest of a new map is actually relatively straightforward.
Things such as:
- Adding textures
- Adding objects
- Registering the new map in the game
- Adding it to the server
- Adding database entries
- Defining difficulty
- Creating records
- Configuring map-related information
The hardest part by far is generating the terrain itself.
Creating terrain with proper elevation, slopes, relief, transitions, playable areas and natural-looking geometry is extremely complex.
I still haven't found a good way to make terrain creation as simple and intuitive as the rest of the map creation process.
Because of that, the Terrain Builder is still under development.
This is probably the most ambitious tool in the project.
WebView2 Integration
On my GitHub you will also find the WebView2 projects. There are currently two approaches.
Full WebView2 replacement:

WebView2 Overlay:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
Personally, I strongly recommend using the overlay approach instead of completely replacing the original browser implementation.
However, both versions are available, so you can choose whichever approach fits your project better.
Ghost PangYa Simulator
This is a standalone simulator that allows you to test game content without having to launch the full game every time.It can be useful for testing things such as:
- Mascots
- Caddies
- Clothes
- Items
- Game assets
- Other visual/game content
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
Crazy Club / "Taco Maluco" Preview
This repository contains an example implementation of the Crazy Club / Taco Maluco mechanic.Repository:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
The current version is only a demonstration script showing how the mechanic works.
The actual implementation should obviously be handled on the Game Server side.
The example provides the structure and information necessary to understand the mechanic and port it to the server.
From there, you can implement it properly server-side and potentially use it as the foundation for a completely new game mode.
PangYa PET Tools
This repository is basically the original Acrisio PET Tools, but with fixes and modifications so that the project works correctly again.Repository:

DX9 Collision Boxes
This tool allows you to visualize collision boxes directly inside the game.Repository:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
The simulator can already be used to inspect some of this information, but sometimes you need to see exactly how the collision behaves inside the real game.
This tool is mainly intended for fine-tuning and debugging custom maps.
Packet Sniffer + MCP
This is probably one of the most useful tools in the entire collection.Repository:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
It is a packet sniffer designed primarily for local/private server development.
The server needs to support the required communication for the tool to work.
The project also includes an MCP integration, which allows you to connect the captured information to AI tools.
Instead of manually comparing packet structures between multiple clients, you can use an AI assistant to help analyze and compare them much faster.
This dramatically speeds up protocol research and server development.
Using this tool, I was able to implement reconnect and late-join support for VERSUS MODE in around one hour.
For me, this has become one of the most valuable tools in the entire development arsenal.
PangYa WebShot
This tool is mainly intended for private server administrators.Repository:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
It allows the server to request a screenshot of the game client.
I originally saw a similar feature demonstrated in one of Acrisio's videos, but as far as I know the implementation was never publicly released.
So I recreated the functionality and made my version available for others to study and use.
Modified Rugburn
This repository contains a modified version of Rugburn that I use mainly as a practical reference project.Repository:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
Inside the project you will find practical examples showing how to hook important parts of PangYa, including:
- The intermediate rendering layer commonly referred to as RF
- PangYa's DirectX rendering
- Internal rendering-related functions
The repository is intended mainly as a reference for developers interested in understanding and extending PangYa's rendering pipeline.
More Projects
These are only some of the tools currently available.I am continuously developing, fixing and publishing more PangYa-related tools.
You can find all of my public repositories here:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
You can also find information about my other PangYa-related projects here:
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
Keep in mind that many of these projects are still experimental/BETA.
Videos from all tools and projects
To view the content, you need to sign in or register
Some of them were originally created for my own development environment and are gradually being cleaned up and released publicly.
The main goal is to build a collection of tools that makes PangYa development, reverse engineering, map creation, debugging and private-server development much easier for everyone interested in the game.
