But.
AI is basically a smart calculator in analogy. You key the equation, it gets you the answer with explanation. If ask ppl to work the equation out on a piece of paper without the calculator, most are stuck forever.
I think knowledge is irrelevant here in most context. All ppl need to do is to ask AI, “hey make a slk parser tool with all these files”. “hey tools is not working correctly, fix it”.
At least that's how i see ppl use AI nowadays. It makes anyone ships actual products and results without the real knowledge to know how to write one manually.
Only a few resources? It's full resources of a few set of complete files. If these were never shared and came with a couple thousands price tag, you wouldn’t be saying the same today.
Imagine trying to get your AI to scramble through scattered bit and pieces of antiroot encrypted modded files. AI can never form a full picture to “enable” the knowledge you need.
Ppl call themselves “pro devs” with the tools and results that was produced by AI. Explaining them in great details like a pro would, but all they actually does is repeat after what AI explained to them and impart their knowledge as what AI wrote.
So “Pro devs” what a word to use in today context with smarter AI models.
I personally feels hopeful but truly pessimistic, for a good reason. Hopeful because it enables more devs and possibilities. But pessimistic when you start to realise in the near future, whatever you came up with as your ideas implementation, it can be easily replicate in hours right after you drop your patches, then you feel your work is being compromised. One or twice might not hit you, but the more it happens, there's where the pessimistic I feel kicks in.

Guess pro devs are everywhere now with AI. But first you have to thank me for the release. Without it, no one got nothing to start with for free. See how big my contribution has been. It's just getting bigger as the days goes. 
Having AI and a few shared resources doesn’t suddenly make everyone a pro developer. If sharing some knowledge is enough to create “many pro devs and many servers,” then maybe the monopoly wasn’t as strong as you thought.
