[PHP]regex help?

i currently making a script that will scan the page and pull the info from the spot selected.

code:

if(preg_match("/<label id=\"GOOGlastsale\">(.+)</label>/i", $file, $m))

error:

Unknown modifier 'l'

my question is how can i make that work because i need the id in the label to stay the same.

I'm guessing you can just simply escape the bit by adding backslashes to the errored position(s)?
