Pound sign help

When I put

into my page, it doesnt show the £ sign it shows a square box, any idea on how to fix this?

It depends of the encoding of the page. Most likely a ISO-8859-1 encoded pound sign inside of a UTF-8 page.

Otherwise try using this £

Iv tried using £ aswell but it still doesnt work

Try setting the page to UTF-8.

For PHP (PHP uses ISO-8859-1 by default):

header( 'Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8' );

Then have you tried using ISO-8859-1 instead of UTF-8?

nope, it works when it is <p></p> tags but when its in a <h1></h1> tag it doesn't work.

It could be the font that doesn't have the pound sterling sign on the set. Have a look.

Usually saving the file, which shows the data, with right encoding, has been everything i had to do.

(ex. in notepad++ you can change enconding of the file)
